Nutella Cookies with Cream Cheese Frosting
This recipe for Nutella Cookies covered in Cream Cheese Frosting is as good it sounds. The chocolate and creamy goodness is unforgettably tasty. Best of all, these cookies are easy for college students to prepare!
1 cup Nutella
5/8 cups Flour
1/2 Cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
8 oz. Cream Cheese
1 cup Powdered Sugar (AKA Confectioners Sugar)
2 tbsp. Butter
1 tsp Vanilla Extract
First, preheat your oven (or toaster oven) to 350 Fahrenheit.
Combine the Nutella and Chocolate Chips in a medium-large bowl.
Next, crack the egg into the bowl, and mix the ingredients using a large spoon or spatula.
Once all the ingredients are sufficiently blended, stir in the flour gradually until it is well mixed. It will develop a cookie-dough like texture when ready.
Line a baking sheet with baking paper, aluminum foil or a non-stick mat.
Using a spoon and your hands (wash them!), form balls 1-2 inches in diameter with the cookie dough and place on the baking sheet, then gently flatten each ball into a cookie shape. Place about 2 inches apart.
Bake for 9-11 minutes until firm.
Remove from oven, and let set for 3-5 minutes to allow the cookies to cool and settle before handling them. Soft cookies are great; crumbly cookies are not.
To prepare the frosting, which is optional, combine the cream cheese, butter, vanilla extract and powdered sugar in a medium bowl. Blend the ingredients thoroughly with a mixer, whisk or spoon, until the frosting reaches a regular consistency throughout.
Carefully remove the cookies from the pan, and use a table knife to evenly frost each cookie with the freshly prepared cream cheese frosting.
Plate and enjoy your delicious Nutella Cookies with Cream Cheese Frosting with a glass of milk!
