“The only verdict is vengeance, a vendetta.” Inspired by the breakfast prepared and served by the famous V from V for Vendetta, this vexing combination of egg and toast is sure to please. Requiring just three ingredients, it’s the perfect college recipe to vanquish your voracious hunger.


  • 1 slice Bread (any)

  • 1 Egg

  • 2 tbsp. Butter


  1. Allow butter to soften, and use a tableknife to spread a half tablespoon of butter on each side of the bread.

  2. Use a small, circular glass to punch a medium-sized circle out of the center of the bread. Or, less civilized, take a bite out of the center of the bread to make the hole.

  3. Turn the stove to medium-high heat.

  4. Add the remaining tablespoon of butter to a small skillet and place on heat.

  5. Place the bread in the skillet, and crack an egg, depositing the yolk into the middle of the hole. A variation is to scramble the egg before pouring it into the center of the bread. This is slightly messier, but very delicious as well.

  6. Cook for 3-5 minutes, until egg begins to fry into a solid state on the bottom side. Before flipping, carefully use a spatula to test the firmness of the egg.

  7. Flip, and let cook 2-3 more minutes.

  8. VOILA! Plate and enjoy.
