In college it can be difficult to find motivation to make breakfast in the morning. While some contend that it is easiest to skip the most important meal of the day, there exists a better alternative: Overnight Oats. This marvelous fix is cheap, easy, and best of all, healthy. Not to mention, the preparation is so easy you can do it in your sleep!
½ Cup Milk
½ Cup Old Fashioned Steel-Cut Oats
Enhancers: Fresh Fruit, Brown Sugar, Jam, Melted Peanut Butter, etc.
Mix the milk and oats in a tall, sealable cup or a GladWare bowl.
Put the sealed oats/milk mixture in the fridge and let sit overnight.
For breakfast, remove the mixture and get ready to enjoy! This meal can be served hot or cold, depending on your preference and mood. If you would like it served hot, place it in a microwavable bowl and microwave it for 1 minute.
It is also a good idea to add your favorite extra toppings! Fresh fruit, brown sugar, jam and melted peanut butter are all great ideas to add some flavor into the mix!
