Pizza Style Grilled Cheese
This recipe is an exciting enhancement to grilled cheese that’s so obvious you’ll wonder why you never thought of it. Just add pepperoni slices and dip the finish product in pasta sauce and your set!
2 Slices Bread
2 Slices Cheese
3 oz. Pepperoni Slices
3 oz. Pasta Sauce (Any tomato-based variety)
1 tbsp. Butter
Heat your frying pan to a medium-low heat.
Butter 1 side of each slice of bread.
Place the pepperoni slices in the pan and allow them to begin heating. They don't take long to burn, so be careful.
Now, place the first slice of bread butter-side-down on the frying pan. Lay a slice of cheese down on this slice.
Use a spatula to place the hot pepperoni on top of the bread and cheese.
Add the second slice of cheese, and cover it with the second slice of bread, butter-side-up.
Once the bottom slice of bread is well toasted, very carefully flip the sandwich to allow the other side of bread to cook. This will also allow the newer slice of cheese to melt.
Remove sandwich from pan, cut in half.
Serve with pasta sauce for dipping.
