Less of a recipe, more of a combination of delicious items, this dish is the perfect late-night indulgence for any college student. Cheap and easy to prepare, you won’t regret giving this one a try!


  • 1 Can Chili (Hormel or a generic brand - there are a lot of options, pick what looks best to you!)

  • 1-3 oz. Fritos

  • 2 oz. Shredded Cheddar Cheese

  • 1 Dollop Sour Cream


  1. Heat your Chili as directed on its can. Most cans will have a microwave option, all should have a simple set of stove-top instructions.

  2. While it cooks, line the bowl you intend on eating the chili out of with a layer of Frito chips. Crush them if you prefer a Frito taste throughout; leave them whole if you prefer a crunch. Maybe do both? It doesn't matter all that much.

  3. Once heated, empty the Chili into the bowl lined with Fritos.

  4. Now, apply a dollop of Sour Cream to the center of the dish. Top the edges with additional Fritos and Shredded Cheese.

  5. That's it, enjoy your feast!

  6. Tip: Try adding hot sauce for an additional kick!
